British-based quartet Kid Wave feel their way through varying strains of garage rock on their upcoming EP. The title, Gloom, doesn’t exactly imply the overall mood of the record, which lands in a beach-y dreamworld at times and a reverberating, psychedelic realm at others. Twisted, driving guitars on “All I Want” are evened out by its sunny, hook-laden chorus. “Young Blood” is where the consistently disaffected vocals are at their best, riding alongside convulsing, surf-inspired riffs. Kid Wave’s serrated edges, wistful lyrics and mid-tempo melodies intertwine on Gloom for four breezy rock ‘n’ roll tracks.

Kid Wave has signed with Heavenly Recordings in the UK, (Temples, the Wytches and TOY). Gloom was released on November 24th 2014.

Drenge are an English two-piece grunge / post grunge band based in Castleton in Derbyshire. The band is made up of Eoin Loveless, on guitar and vocals, and his younger brother Rory, on drums  the band Drenge on David Letterman show earlier this week,

In many ways, it’s the same old Drenge. ‘We Can Do What We Want’ is still the sound of two cool-ass brothers making ridiculously grimy riffs that snake every-which-way like a punk viper. There’s even the obligatory war cry for a ridiculously dangerous/fun moshpit where most bands would slip in a middle-eight. But there’s something different this time round. it’s all centred around a demonically addictive stomping groove.

‘We Can Do What We Want’ all pivots on elephantine dirty hooks, and lyrics that tell the #haters to fuck right off, along with a newfound swagger that envelopes the whole track in lashings of confidence and boldness. It’s made the prospect of an upcoming new album ludicrously exciting,

The room stood completely hushed and attentive, much to the baffling curiosity of the young Canadians. Their singer, Daniel Woodhead, mussed up his fringe and proclaimed the Bodega’s crowd the “Most quiet and appreciative ever, it’s really romantic.” Welcome to England, Moon King.  Order their new album ‘Secret Life’ right now http://moon-king.bandcamp.com/album/secret-life-2 it will be delivered on April 14 on digital/ CD/ clear vinyl plus you getwith the pre-order with an immediate download of ‘Roswell’

Once compared to a man who wears many suits, in thirty-two short years Justin Townes Earle has experienced more than most, both personally and professionally Between releasing four full-length-critically-acclaimed albums, constant touring, multiple stints in rehab, a new found sobriety, being born Steve Earle’s son, amicable and not-so-amicable break-ups with record labels, and facing the trials and tribulations of everyday life, it’s safe to say JTE has quite the story to tell. His fifth album (Vagrant Records) serves as the perfect platform for such narrations. Entitled “Single Mothers”, the album showcases exactly why Justin Townes Earle is considered a forefather of Contemporary Americana. With his heart and soul still rooted in Nashville, Single Mothers shows Justin’s continued combination of catchy songs and authenticity. The album was recorded live with his four-piece touring band with only days of rehearsal leading up to recording to keep the ideas fresh. No overdubs, no other singers, no additional players – just a real, heartfelt performance capturing the moment. Justin will be at the Nottingham Glee Club on the 4th February with the added bonus of Andrew Combs as support a more than worthy headliner on his own
