Midwest shoegazers Cloakroom have been recording a double-LP for a 2015 release, but first they’ll share a 7″ they recorded with Hum’s Matt Talbott at his Earth Analog Studios. The 100 percent analog process yielded A-side “Lossed Over” and this B-side “Dream Warden.” The latter — a dark, doomy, riff-driven track we’re sharing today — features Talbott himself on vocals. The band shared some background on how the producer ended up on the song:

The clock ran out on us while recording our full length before the vocals were wrapped up for it. Matt joked about putting the vocals on it himself when we finished recording because of how much he liked the hook in the chorus.

A welcome addition to the Melbourne Indie scene is shoegaze band Bloodhounds On my Trail as they release  their debut EP “Escape”.
Having only formed together as a band in the past 12 months,”Bloodhands On My Trail” the EP “Escape” is an impressive debut for the band, which has been preceded by support slots for local Melbourne Bands in Lowtide, Contrast and White Walls, as well as a couple of demos that have been picked up by RRR. The lead single from the record ” Silence Its Golden” was premiered  earlier this month, crediting a positive response .The “Escape” EP is available now, take a listen now.

Sydney based band The Laurels, fuzzed out and sprawling guitars release their debut album some years in the making might never have seen the light of day as the master tapes got almost washed away in floods. The Silent Sunrise is the fourth album from the USA shoegaze with a moody psych and rock twist “A Shoreline Dream” the band are from Denver Colorado with two original member Ryan Policky and Erik Jeffires in 2012 they released three EP’s one a month in the last three months of the year.” The Silent Sunrise” is the first album in three years.

A band formed as long ago as 1995 in Southern California but now settled in Seattle Anna-Lynne Williams and Matt Brown described as Shoegaze and Folk split the band in 2012 but with so much material and demos the band have still been issuing material.

Oxford band RIDE rose to prominence in 1989,with a succesfull trio of EP’s and the intensity of their live shows, a hypnotic and moody sounds. In October 1990 they released the debut album a tour de force of intertwinning guitars and intimate vocals. The new deluxe edition brings together the original album plus the EP “Today Forever” and a unreleased live show from the Roxy in 1991.
