Our new video for Diablo, Take Me Home can be seen here. Taken from The Death or Glory Gang EP .

“He’s a wild one…” this is what we’d heard about Steve Glashier, the director we were waiting to meet at the location we’d scouted. Within 5 minutes this was proved right as we dodged security, climbed barbed wire and threw instruments over fences to get into a better looking location he had found nearby. The image of our manager giving Steve a bunk over the wall was perfect; I thought “this is our gang, our kind of people.”

The new location was a god-forsaken wasteland in Silvertown, East London, on the hottest day of the year with no water and no way to get out without ruining the shoot. Our vision of a desert with our beloved London skyline as a back drop came true with mild hallucinations and the feeling a rattlesnake could bite you at any second. The perfect setting and the perfect director to bring Diablo to life.

If you like it please share it far and wide.

Saint Agnes as a band are a a stomping, snarling piece of psych rock, there’s an electricty running through the band, an indefinable chemistry which draws on the spirt of Jim Morrison’. The excitement is building, speculation as to what the title means grows and Jon is deciding which cowboy shirt to wear. The band are playing their last headline show of the year on December 8th at the Oslo in Hackney, London.

Saint Agnes

Saint Agnes are a deeply independent force.
The band build their own effects pedals, while guitarist Kitty also writes regularly for She Shreds magazine.
New single ‘Sister Electric’ will be given a limited edition physical release, pressed on lathe-cut clear vinyl.
Out now via Death or Glory Gang Records, ‘Sister Electric’ was recorded on tape at the analogue Soup Studios in Limehouse.
Filtering 70s psych influences with some deranged garage rock, it’s one of the band’s most potent releases to date.
The video. Directed by Ed Edwards of Ragged Crow Productions, you can check it out now.

Taken from the forthcoming Ep “Live Under London”out now on Energy Snake Records

A new psych duo has formed in the urban wasteland of London that aims to bring the high and lonesome prairies into a concrete jungle. Ladies and Gentlemen, Saint Agnes has been born.

Here we have two obviously very talented people making some darn fine psycha-western rock music. They are going for a dark and dirty Wild West/Spaghetti Western kind of a sound,  Mind you, the cowboys that this might attract are more of the urban, acid dropping men in black that lurk through the streets looking for the next hip thing going down as opposed to the kind that ride horses and follow the rodeo circuit. This is Tarantino/Lynch style, warped, twisted psychedelic, Western inspired music that at moment rocks hard, heavy and Southern, and then the next drifts off into the desert, dazed by the scorching sun, dehydration, hallucinations and talking snakes territory.

Saint Agnes is a DIY project by Jon Tufnell from a band called The Lost Souls Club, and Kitty from Lola Colt, who have recorded an EP called ‘The Good Fight’ in Kitty’s basement. Both of the bands they are in are top notch, killer bands, so the talent was there and proven to begin with. And the end result is one awesome EP of well written, well played psychedelic rock. This is a DIY project that sounds better than most high budget studio albums, crammed with personality, style and intrigue. And now that they have this EP under their belt, there are plans to do some live shows in the fall, apparently.
