Swedish sisters Johanna and Klara Soderberg otherwise known as the band FIRST AID KIT, The duo stopped by the Conan O’Brien show for their second time since 2012.
Together with touring buddy and support Samantha Crain (vocals), Melvin Duffy (pedal steel), Niclas Lindström (drums) and additional percussionist and string quartet they performed the title track from the latest album Stay Gold, broadcast November 11th, 2014.

The story of The Glass Child, Charlotte Eriksson, is one of those you usually see on movies. Only 18 years old she left everything she had and knew, family and friends, and moved to London to dedicate her life to her music and art.
Forward three years and she has started her own record label Broken Glass Records, released 4 EPs, released her critically acclaimed debut full-length ‘I’d like to remain a mystery’ in February 2013, had her single ”I Will Lead You Home” reaching #2 on the Swedish Itunes-chart, was named Breakthrough Indie Artist Of The Year by Lemonade Magazine and been played on major radios such as BBC6, Sveriges Radio (Sweden) and 3FM (Netherlands). All alone, with nothing but hard work and determination she has built an incredibly dedicated community now with over 24,500 followers on Twitter, and to let her fans in on her journey even more she published her first book “Empty Roads and Broken Bottles; in search for The Great Perhaps” in April 2013, telling the true and raw story about a girl who had a dream and went for it with all her heart. The book was beautifully received and sold out after 3 days
Charlotte is a wandering soul and after spending a year in England with nothing but a guitar and a will to search for something more, playing wherever she could play and crashing at fans’ floors, she has just made the move to Berlin, Germany, In September she released an acoustic edition of her album ’I’d Like To Remain A Mystery’, giving it away for free through Noisetrade as a way to thank her fans,
With her constant search for new horizons the stories are endless, and to finish up a productive year she’s now releasing her new acoustic EP ”Love Always, Your Tragedy”, and explains that ”These songs are the letters I never dared to send. I wasn’t brave enough to speak up, so I sang instead.”

From Stockholm Sweden, comes The Hanged Man is a new fruit from Rebecka Rolfart’s (former guitarist of Those Dancing Days and bassist in Vulkano) The Hanged Man arose in the calm after the storm, in a time of stillness when the world suddenly had turned upside down. So her eyes began to look inward.
The inspiration comes from dark places like forests, skies and seas – even her own head where the interior is as a lake. The places are not necessarily scary, rather secure. It is in those places the soul gets room to shout out its need for affirmation. Places where darkness becomes a light.
The debut single ‘First Time Dreaming’ was released in September 2014 on PNKSLM Recordings to rave reviews in both Sweden and abroad. It’s taken from the debut mini-album ‘First Quarter Moon’, which is due for release on November 10 via Kning Disk/Telegram Studios.

Kristian Matteson is a singer-songwriter from Dalarna, Sweden. Since 2006, he has released three full-length albums and two EPs. He performs under the stage name The Tallest Man on Earth. He is known for recording and producing his own records in whichever home he is currently living and states that the connection between his voice and guitar is so strong, he rarely records them as separately tracked performances.He is also known both by critics and his fans for his charismatic stage presence.
Compared to Bob Dylan both in terms of songwriting ability and vocal style.When asked about his lyrical style, Matsson explains that he began listening to Bob Dylan at fifteen, and upon hearing Dylan’s cover material, he “tried to figure out where those songs came from” and became slowly exposed to early American folk, such as Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie. This is how I play. This is how I write songs.
With regards to his guitar technique, Matsson uses a variety of open tunings, and standard tuning to a lesser degree. He had classical guitar training in his youth, but says he “never really focused on it” and that by the end of high school he “got bored playing guitar because it was like maths, until he then discovered open tunings while listening to Nick Drake in his early twenties. He was drawn to this style of playing because it allowed him to focus on singing while still performing intricate music.
