Stevie Nicks performs at Hard Rock Calling 2011 - 26/06/11

 

Stevie Nicks has a new album coming out titled “24Karat Gold” mostly songs from the Vaults written between 1969 and 1987 and two tunes from the mid 1990’s, due out in early October, featuring a collection of unreleased track. The songs are about broken hearts, secrets and the survivors and most of them have appeared on bootlegs and part song found by the singer on You Tube. 18 tracks were laid down with Dave Stewart and Waddy Watchel producing. there is a double album and a deluxe book with lots of photos from Stevie’s own scrapbooks.

the absolute amazing voice of Luke Sital-Singh performing at the Haldern Music Festival in 2013, I am so looking forward to his album release later this summer, Luke will be at the Bodega later this year on Friday 19th September

Saw the wonderful talented Kevin Devine on friday evening at the Bodega , what a superb singer songwriter he is with some great songs and a charismatic persona on stage I love the way he uses words, Kevin is a Brooklyn based singer songwriter known for his melodic acoustic songs introspective, sometimes political songs, a member of the band Miracle of  86, and the Goddamn band.

the amazing singer songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff from Denver Colorado performs this song in a campervan a superb singer songwriter with a wonderful vocal check out his latest album “Falling Faster Than You Can Run”

Still possibily one of the songs of the year from one of the live acts  of the year, if you saw Courtney and her band they rocked everywhere and with the best lyrics I heard this year what a performance

Ryan Adams return to the stage at Newport Folk festival after some period of time away from music due to his difficulties with Menieres Diesease which affects his hearing and balance with a new album “Gimmie Something Good”

Sylvan Esso bought together some freinds from favoured bands Lambchop’s William Tyler,and  members from Megafaun and Field Report, for an intimate concert performing songs from the album “Wolf” the former Mountain Man member shared acoustic versions intimate and arresting the footage is shot in black and white,

With the sparse arrangements and haunting music of Majke Voss Romme her beautiful soft vocal adds to the atomosphere of these songs, A stark new black and White video for the closing track “No Darkness”  from the breathtaking album “May” one of the years best and most interesting debut releases
