please listen to what I personally think is a wonderful album, Courtship Ritual are a band from Brooklyn the duo of Monica Salazar and Jared Olmsted play spaced out electronica post punk, moody and drifting vocals quite sparse at times with incredible timing and beats that inspire you to listen to everything a really wonderful listen, their debut album is titled PITH on Godmode records.

New York is still Home to bands as varied as the trio Sunflower Bean, whose music suggests what might have happened if psychedelia has emerged after punk, In their first year together the bad have made waves from coast to coast with vocalist and bass player Julia Cumming,Nick Kivlen on guitars and Jacob Faber on drums with rugged Lo-fi sounds similar to Velvet Underground and the dark rock of Black Sabbath
Charly Bliss vocals Eva Hendricks might sound a little shrill at first, but don’t take long to become part of a glorious over-arcing energy of punk-ridden overdrive. But behind that there’s definitely a lot more going on. Take the song “Urge to Purge” from the brand new EP ‘Soft Serve,’ where Hendricks shrieks: “Everyday’s the same/When you get home from work I try and keep you entertained/And you know we’re both so far from sane/Picking fights to let you know I’m glad you came.” The song is one big “fuck you” to the mundane, the domestic, and the monotony that consumes our lives from time to time. Although the desire for more excitement is ever present in their music, which we see through blasts of overdrive and momentous climaxes, Charly Bliss’ is not a band with negative energy, in fact we’re feeling posy-vibes all around. they are a band in waiting for huge success
The Wands are a psychedelic rock band from Copenhagen Denmark with a new self titled album out November 3rd they are playing the Jam Cafe in Nottingham on November 10th , best described as Psychedelic Post Punk Rock with Sitar and harmonica members Christian Skibdal and Mads Gras, with British Music playing a huge part in their influences and inspiration signed to Fuzz Records. its been two years since the initial EP “Hello I Know The Blow You Grow Is Magic ”
