Released this day April 7th in 1978, THE LAST WALTZ was the soundtrack to the Concert Movie which was recorded on Thanksgiving day, it was a movie documenting the Farewell Concert performed by the band and guests at Bill Grahams Winterland ballroom, the actual event also included a dinner for 5000 attendees. The Album was released as a triple set with sides 1-5 consisiting songs from the event while side 6 was new music from Robbie Robertson, The Guests included Paul Butterfield, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Dr John, Ronnie Hawkins, Emmylou Harris, The Staple Singers. The Concert Film was applauded as one of the best concert Films ever produced with the Director Martin Scorcese in the chair.

JOHN GRANT has announced a selection of dates with the 34 piece orchestra the Royal Northern Sinfonia, The shows promise to be a one off musical experience, with his album of last year “PALE GREEN GHOSTS ” on numerous blogs and music magazines best album of 2013. Its an exciting project the former Czars frontman and superb songwriter has confirmed a seven date tour, his songs will be re-worked and reimagined with an orchestral setting along with some new songs.

He has a new box set showcasing his unique guitar sound and style. Mostly always playing a Fender Strat with such a distinctive guitar sound and his bandana. he also has his own Tuition site for beginners through to the experienced Player.

As Bruce has been playing a fair few supprise Cover versions at the Australian Shows he has continued the trend,Now the tour moves back to his homeland and he started the Dallas Capital One Jam Festival with Van Halen’s JUMP . the tour continues to add dates across the USA. Little Steven is still on filming duty with the hugely popular TV series  Lillehammer, but it appears Patti is back on stage with the band. The E Street Band are about to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
