WOLF ALICE “Blush” another great single from last years most blogged about band, they are currently on a small tour with the excellent Birmingham band SUPERFOOD both bands will be at the Cookie Jar in Leicester Saturday 17th May.
WOODS have their 8th Album later this month so far the tracks I’ve heard have been wonderful, the record has shown more depth and attention to detail in the sound. Jeremy Earl and Jarvis Tavenaire will be on tour later this year ,The album title is “WITH LOVE WITH LIGHT” this track features a beautiful organ sound, the band will be at the GREEN MAN festival and the LIVERPOOL PSYCHEDELICA Festival in September 2014.
The title track of the Ep Waterloo by Sophie Jamieson and her band project, this young female singer songwriter is finding her sound with haunting vocals and sparse arrangements giving the songs a wordly feel certainally for fans of Daughter,
DAUGHTER, have a new Ep on the way to be released Digitally on the 15th April, recorded live at the iconic Air Studio’s in London it features the songs Shallows, Tomorrow, Youth, Still and Amsterdam. this is a special performance as the songs have been recorded with a 10 piece classical string ensemble, the videos will be available on Daughter’s you tube channel
Having started out as a singer songwriter with quiet melancholy type folk songs , Sophie Jamieson has now evolved with her band project into a ambient and haunting songstress. Last year the “WHERE” ep was well received and featured in many blogs and various music press this new track along with the song “Other” will be at this month. http://www.sophiejamieson.co.uk
