Saltwater Sun took an admirable stab at the limelight in the summer of 2015, with the release of their lead song, “Habit on my Mind”. The single captured the attention of critics up and down the country, thanks to the gloriously nonchalant, yet Brit Pop friendly vocals of front woman Jennifer Stearne. The South London act’s more recent contribution, “Wild”, proves there’s more to the band than ditzy, BBQ-ready tunes

Brooding with melancholic beauty, ‘Still’ serves as a perfect introduction to 19-year-old London based artist The Japanese House and her debut EP, ‘Pools To Bathe In’. Produced by The Japanese House (Amber Bain) with George Daniel & Matthew Healy, ‘Pools To Bathe In’ pushes the parameters of alt pop, pulling together a host of unlikely influences to create something personal and entirely unique.

First track from our upcoming New Lovers EPLondon-based four-piece Heroics are an interesting bunch.  Comprised of members from other bands – the list is, quite frankly, longer than both of my arms, probably – altogether making a sound unlike any of them.  It’s hard to pinpoint their sound, but whatever it is, it’s pretty darn good.

Video for ‘Perfect Health’ by Desperate Journalist, directed by Jason Weidner. Taken from the ‘Good Luck’ EP released 2nd October 2015 on Fierce Panda Records, Besides having a really great band name these guys from London delivered one of the most fascinating debut albums of the year. Somewhere between Siouxsie and the Banshees and the early Cranberries DESPERATE JOURNALIST found their own version of heart-wrenching and urgent new wave rock that captivates the listener. Singer Jo Bevan is just the right sort of leading lady a band like this needs. If you happen to love the sound of the already mentioned references and are tired of waiting for a new Cure record we highly advice you to take a closer look to the DESPERATE JOURNALIST debut.

SAUNA YOUTH – ” The Bridge “

From The LP “Distractions, Sauna Youth are an English four-piece whose music feels like a punk overture to a high-speed rollercoaster thrill ride. Their track “The Bridge,” pulled from their full-length release Distractions, sees the band — including Lindsay Corstorphine from Primitive Parts on guitar — looking too-cool-for-school and playing their instruments amidst an array of youths clad in gym clothes. They seem like the artsy emo kids in grade school you were always too scared to talk to (unless you were one of them), and that’s a reflection of their music: explosive, no-holds barred, high-energy punk. The boy-girl vocals coalesce effortlessly into one voice a la Times New Viking, and the damaged guitars are the fuse to a never-ending circuit of blazing stamina.

With simple rollicking guitar rock and Jaggeresque-nodding showmanship rules the roost for these Londoners.” –

“With strained, characterful vocals that could be likened to any of rock and roll’s legends and danceability that comes from somewhere deeper than the electronic thuds we’re used to, Hidden Charms are a welcome breath of whiskeyed cigarette smoke”

Blues rockers Hidden Charms have announced the upcoming release of their latest single Love You Cause You’re There. The track serves as the perfect follow-up to their hugely successful debut double AA side single Dreaming Of Another Girl/Long Way Down, produced by Shel Talmy (The Who/The Kinks)….

Younghusband is a British band from London, UK. The line up consists of Euan Hinshelwood (vocals/guitar), Adam Beach (guitar/keys), Joe Chilton (Bass) and Pete Baker (drums). They released their first single in June 2011 with the UK label Too Pure,. This was followed by the ‘Crystal E.P.’ released by U.K. shoegaze label Sonic Cathedral in November 2011. Younghusband initially existed as a bedroom recording project by Euan who put out an early single and two e.p’s ‘The Judas Cow’ and ‘Idiot Son’ on small u.k. label Culturedeluxe. Shortly after this a band was formed to play the songs live. Overtime the band started writing together and embraced a heavier psych filled sound, moving away from the lo-fi orientated sound of the bedroom output. They began recording their debut album in the summer of 2012 with producer Nicolas Vernhes, noted for his work with the likes of Animal Collective, Deerhuter, Dirty Projectors and Silver Jews. The album is set for a spring 2013 release. In interviews the band have mentioned Stereolab, The Birthday Party, Television Personalities, The Ronnettes, Felt, Broadcast, Wire and The Cocteau Twin’s to be amongst their influences.

All-female garage bands are pretty much the greatest things ever, which makes London newcomers the Big Moon one of the greatest things ever by default. The four-piece thrives at blending indie rock and grunge stylings in a way that screams Sonic Youth, but with traces of Ex Hex or Hinds. Such is the case for the Big Moon’s heartbreak-pop track “Nothing Without You” and its ridiculously fun accompanying video, directed by Louis Bhose. They break into some excellent synchronized choreography that’s sort of an interpretive dance to the song itself, equal parts adorable and absurd. Streamers fly and headbands are adorned, and though the judges give the girls an average score of “1,” we’ll give them a “10” for effort. Maybe the Michael Cera in Juno-esque socks could be reconsidered,

Kid Wave are an indie rock quartet based in London. They have a pretty heavy mid-1990s college radio sound. You might say that they sound like Teenage Fanclub or The Breeders. You might also say that they sound like something more contemporary like Best Coast.

Though based in London, the band is half Swedish, a quarter English, and a quarter Australian. As a teenager, Lea Emmery (vocals/guitars) came to England from her family’s home in Norrköping, Sweden in order to “learn something about music”. Norrköping is a small city on the Baltic coast. sometimes referred to as “the Swedish Manchester”. Matthias Bhatt (guitar) is also from the same city. Emmery was studying sound engineering at college, where she met Perth native Serra Petale (drums). Harry Deacon (bass) who was a friend of a friend, and who is a Londoner, joined their lot to fully form Kid Wave.

Last autumn, the band released their debut EP Gloom via Heavenly Recordings, and they followed that this June 1 with their debut album “Wonderlust”.

Although this is my kind of thing,. With its fuzz, its throwback sound, and the tiny bit of dirt amid the meticulously crafted shimmering pop,

It’s been a while since we have felt as emotionally pulled apart after listening to the band Daughter. Poignancy and poetry is the name of the game for this band and they manage to deliver that with a fragility that is both beguiling and unnerving. Daughter have a new track, it’s straight back to business with the new single ‘Doing the Right Thing’ a deeply emotional tale about growing old, which is complimented by an even more emotionally charged video

It not only the first we have heard for sometime but it also announces the band’s return to live shows , Elena, Igor & Remi will play three special headline shows in the UK this November.
