BEARS DEN – ” Sahara “
Posted: April 18, 2014 in MUSICTags: Bears Den, Communion Records, Folk Rock
Bear’s Den… but I so so wish they were coming to Nottingham on their current tour. Their last EP, ‘Without/Within’, which was released by Communion Records, is a momentous collection of songs, seemingly written for the chronically heart-broken.
‘Without/Within’ starts off with ‘Sahara Pt. I & II’, a split track boasting a soft, swelling melody which enchants. Andrew Davie’s soft vocals builds slowly, and melds perfectly to a rousing chorus, the instrumentals grow into a catchy, deep melody that resonates right to your chest. As always, the lyrics are beautifully written, and meaningful.
