YEARS & YEARS – ” Memo “

Years & Years is an English electro-pop trio founded in London, England. The group consists of frontman and keyboardist Olly Alexander, bassist Mikey Goldsworthy and synth player Emre Turkmen. The band formed in 2010, after Mickey moved to London from Australia and met Emre online. Shortly afterwards, Olly joined the band as lead vocalist after guitarist Mikey had heard him singing in the shower.
Years & Years‘ debut single “I Wish I Knew” was released in 2012 via the label Good Bait and their follow up single “Traps” was released in September 2013 by Kitsuné Records. Their third single “Real” was released via Kitsuné in February 2014 and its music video featured an appearance from Olly’s Peter and Alice co-star, Ben Whishaw, and former Misfits actor, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett. In August 2014, Years & Years announced “Take Shelter”, a new EP which was released through Polydor Records. The EP reached the number 1 spot on the on the iTunes UK Singles Electronic Chart.

Years & Years’ music has been described as electro pop, mixing R&B and 90’s house elements, with Flying Lotus, Diplo, Radiohead and Jai Paul being their core influences.
Years & Years performed “Sunlight” with Belgian house artist The Magician at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards in Glasgow,Scotland during the backstage show at the O2 Academy Glasgow along with Vance Joy and Alicia Keys

Los Angeles based band The lineup: Jenno Bjørnkjær (music) and Katherine Mills Rymer (vocals).
The background: The “Oof” bit we get – listening to this LA-based duo’s music is like being winded by beauty. But it’s a terrible kind of beauty: floating vocals” just think Lana Del Rey cooing breathily as they find Laura Palmer’s corpse. They’re a couple – romantic and musical: the Danish Jenno Bjørnkjær and South African Katherine Mills-Rymer. They have a filmic past, literally, having met in New York while Bjørnkjær was working on music for Lars von Trier’s Melancholia. Apparently, they bonded “over a mutual love for French synthesizer music and all things Russian” The video to their last single, by making the rhythms and synths and strings in their songs synch together so seamlessly, There is already quite a bit of music out there by them. There’s an album, Disco to Die To, which came out last year, and it’s full of good – which is to say, intoxicating stuff. And already they are working on the follow-up, for early-2015 release: Acute Feast. As a prelude to that album, they are issuing a new single, You’re Always Good,

Yet another fairly mysterious band fronted by a siren voiced female, making slow-building, haunting pop music,  London band Vaults. Like some sort of musical circle of life, as London Grammar released their world acclaimed debut album and still riding high,  but Vaults drop their spine-tingling next song ” Poison”  that suggests a bright future could be ahead for the currently unknown band.
