A psychedelic rock band from San Francisco the city that invented the genre, combining elements of 60’s folk rock and Americana and sparkling space jam rock band, the twin guitars of Matt Holliman and Evan Reiss plus lead vocalist Bret Constantino and the rhythm section of Brian Tice and Jack Allen. They played Liverpool Psychedelica Festival at the weekend.

Something really special as ELO and Jeff Lynne returned to the stage after 28 years and performed in Hyde Park for the Festival In A Day, playing all the hits, an amazing concert broadcast on BBC last night. The festival also had on the bill legendary Blondie , Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders, Bellowhead the 12 piece Folk band, Paloma Faith and Kacey Musgraves plus the soul of Billy Ocean…ELO who had 26 top selling singles in the 70’s and 80’s also were accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra. the set list

Mutual Benefit were probably new to most of the audience at Green Man Festival but they played a superb set for the crowded arena bringing a sound of american summer days , Mainly the musical project of Jordan Lee and collected musicians the bands recent album “Loves Crushing Diamond” received lots of critical praise recorded in the Ohm Studios in Austin Texas, the album released last year was voted as among the best albums by Pitchfork and Stereogum sites.
