Vancouver Sleep Clinic - Flaws

I get home. First track on my Hype Machine feed is Vancouver Sleep Clinic and a track called ‘Flaws’. Elevation instantly floods me despite not even hearing it. Why? Because VSC perfect my need for music with mystery, devotion and sublimity (click here to get my drift).

This post follows on nicely from yesterday’s High Highs. Vancouver Sleep Clinic is a fellow Australian reproducing contagious ambience except this Australian aka Tim Bettinson has no partner in crime. He produces his textured emotion through his innate capability to mix sensitive bass lines and potent piano lines which reverberate in tenacious ambience.

‘Flaws’ holds Bettinson’s inescapable atmospherics with a budding element of grace. He strips down sections of this release into minimalistic finger clicks and hollow drum beats creating an air of purity. All that remains is for Bettinson’s invasive falsetto croons of “I…
