American Singer Songwriter from Dallas Texas Andrew Combs, After a session with Caitin Rose two years ago, the country singer-songwriter and his band for a vocal-heavy performance of ‘Pearl’, taken from his latest album ‘All These Dreams’. Also here a  little video of “Pearl” we did last year at the wonderful End of the Road Festival in England. A little further down the stoner rock side of the spectrum is Dallas, TX, trio True Widow. Their combination of fuzzed out, almost sludgy music and ethereal dual male and female vocals makes them something extra special that falls just outside of the typical shoegaze sound. The suitably epic title of their 2011 record “As High as the Highest Heavens and from the Center to the Circumference of the Earth” begets some of their more metallic leanings, but the music is equal parts crushing and delicate and pairs well with a nice, dry red wine and some Cocteau Twins.

Another medly in their set at this time was the “How Many More Times” with “Suzy Q” , “Eyesight To the Blind” , “Lemon Song” and “Bye Bye Baby”,

the three headed monster sound that is SCARY CHERRY and the BANG BANGS with a nod back to 70’s Glam/Glitter Rock and bands like the Runaways, you might think this band come from the streets of New York but the girls come from Dallas Texas, born out of Roller Derby in the lone star state team captain Scary Cherry wrote a song for the league bought in a few like minded friends, a hundred shows further on they are just releasing their first album.

what a great title for a song formed in Dallas and sounds of the like Jon Spencer Blues Explosion , Black Keys and loud garage rock guitars their last ep “Gold Yeller” had great critical praise.
