After a mammoth five weeks of trekking across the USA on their latest headline tour, Brighton based three-piece The Wytches are back on home turf. To celebrate their ongoing success, and basically because we’ll take any excuse to play them on air, they’re the fourth and last of our session guests for #AmazingRadioLive.

We caught them mid-UK tour and they played two tracks for us, the visceral “Darker” and of course Holy Tightrope too. Check out the first session video above, keep listening on DAB in London and Dublin, and of course online and via the free apps to hear the tracks on air. Both songs will be available to stream later this week, and there’ll be a second video on our YouTube Channel too .

Just before playing their London date of our recent headline tour the band recorded a session for The Wild Honey Pie. Watch ‘Descent’ below and download the track for free here: http://www.thewildhoneypie.com/fear-of-men/

Beautifully etched electronic pop, ‘Glow‘ comes backed with some stunning visuals. “The idea for the video was for us to look like we’re made from moondust, which we reflect,” says Melis. “We wanted something strange and amazing and unexpected that you can’t take your eyes off because you have to find out how it ends. Already good friends, Josh Christopher and Melis Soyaslanová were brought closer together when they both emerged from break ups, the two began swapping musical ideas, naming the project IYES. Matching electronic pop against some rather melancholic themes, the Brighton duo quickly attracted attention. New single ‘Glow‘ arrives on December 22nd, but you might have already heard of it – it’s being given exposure to millions as the soundtrack to the advert for Sony’s latest smartphone, the Xperia Z3.

Recorded on the streets of Dijon in France a few days ago, this shows a different side to the band from Brighton. Fear of Men is a Brighton-based band that formed in early 2011. On February 12, 2013 the band released a reverse chronological compilation of their early singles through Kanine Records called Early Fragments.

Brighton/London four piece Hella Better Dancer have been making dreamy, lo-fi guitar pop in their bedrooms for a few years. “Sleeptalking” sounds like a band ready to flock the nest. Perhaps it’s the prickly guitar solo and half-shouted harmonies that’s allowed the band to take on a more immediate personality and weighty reverb and shaded vocals Maybe it’s the band’s adoption of Norwegian songstress Farao last year as their drummer .Whatever the reason, “Sleeptalking” is a sure-fire step in the right direction. It doesn’t shed the band’s hallmark spacious sound nor is it a simple repetition of their previous efforts.

The self-produced/recorded single is out now.Record Label Beautiful Strange will release “Sleeptalking” on limited 7″ vinyl on 11 November.
