We are obsessed with looking forwards. And being able to metamorphosise and develop each year is a thrilling process. Especially when we have the inspirational input of you lot to draw on.New year. New beginnings. New us. We will soon be sharing with you the many things that are floating our boats this year. Needless to say, it’s an exciting time.We have a brand new realm, new stages and venues, fresh talent and never-before-seen events of the kind only Wilderness can build. Get ready for a revamped, dramatic, thematic overload of ideas and experiences. In short, we’ve brought back the things that you didn’t want to let go of, and packed in more of the things you wanted more of.We’ve fine-tuned the number of things you may wish to book in advance, and crammed your festival ticket with even more extraordinary experiences and life-long memories. That’s even more culture and kicks for you to devour over your four days. The thing that really excites us is programming stuff that you don’t even know you love yet… Throwing curveballs and phenomena at you when you’re not looking. This year there are some aforementioned marvels and some old favourites; the Wilderness classics shaken up. It’s about making Your Wilderness even more colourful, thrilling, vibrant and spine-tingling. You are in safe, (experimental) hands…All roads lead to the Wilderness. See you there.

Sea Change Festival burst onto the scene last year and now the Totnes event, taking place around the town itself, has just revealed its lineup for this summer. It’s an event that finds its way into the most intriguing locations in Totnes, including a restored cinema, sparkling ballroom, 15th century church and walled garden, among many others.

Confirmed today are: Jane Weaver, Blanck Mass, Daniel Brandt, Amber Arcades, Aldous Harding, LOWLY, H Hawkline, VENN, The Proper Ornaments, Virginia Wing, Death and Vanilla, Girl Ray, Chris Forsyth and the Solar Motel Band, Trembling Bells, ILL, Mai Mai Mai, W H Lung.

Trembling Bells will celebrate the music of Bert Jansch. Talks, film screenings, DJ sets, food, drink and all manner of curious things will be happening.

Sea Change is inspired and organised by Drift Record Shop in the heart of Totnes, South Devon on 25 and 26 August. Dreamt up by the innovative Drift Record Shop, Sea Change mirrors the passions of the people that run the shop.

Food and drink: Community craft brewery, New Lion (trading in Totnes for nearly 200 years) will brew special Sea Change beers and Totnes Brewing Co. will cask its own Sea Change ale; chef Patrick Hanna of London’s Rochelle Canteen, Duck Soup and most recently L’Entrepot, will create a special Drift pop-up fast food joint. Totnes’s cafes, restaurants, bars and independent shops will join the party – street markets will fill the market square, the family-friendly Bay Horse Inn will host a good ale festival and, next door to Drift, the Riverford Farm Shop will unveil the new Ben’s Wine & Tapas bar.

Sea Change Festival.

The Wedding Present, Cate Le Bon, Martha, Joanna Gruesome, The Wave Pictures and The Tuts are among 38 artists to be confirmed today for this year’s Indietracks Festival.

The above artists are joined by Shopping, Monkey Swallows The Universe, TeenCanteen, The Orchids, The Hearing, Peaness, Personal Best, The Hayman Kupa Band, Grace Petrie and Kid Canaveral.

Plus, the following bands are also joining the bill: Charmpit, Chorusgirl, Cola Jet Set, Cowtown, Crumbs, Dan Webber, Daniel vs the World, David Leach, Evripidis and his Tragedies, Garden Centre, Lilith Ai, Maybe Don’t, Milky Wimpshake, MJ Hibbett and the Validators, Model Village, The Perfect English Weather, Pillow Queens, Rainbow Reservoir, Red Red Eyes, Schande, Suggested Friends, and th’sheridans. There’s biographies for all the bands over on our line up page.

Last year marked the 10th anniversary of Indietracks festival. For a number of the team behind the nation’s premiere Indie-Pop festival in a train museum, it also marked the end of their involvement in Indietracks. After a number of years spent helping to organise the festival, Ian Cowen, Marianthi Makra and Alice Hubley all left the team. Rumours were circulating it might be the end of Indietracks all together, but after an outpouring of support, the remaining members of the team, Nat & Andy Hudson and Emma Cooper, decided the show must go on and set about recruiting new members to the Indietracks inner-sanctum.

Enlisting the help of Cambridge Indie-Pop Alldayer organisers, Beck Conway and Emma Cooper (from Mammoth Penguins/Standard Fare and not the same person as the other Emma Cooper), as well as Indietracks regular Jasmine Allen, Team Indietracks re-emerged, and have put together one of their strongest line-ups to date. There’s surely a headliner for everyone’s taste; the return of the legendary The Wedding Present, the enigmatic and brilliant Cate Le Bon, and a first ever festival headlining slot for Durham’s DIY-upstarts, Martha. Elsewhere there’s the usual eclectic mix of acts; The Wave Pictures will bring their blend of English wit and American blues-rock, the reformed Monkey Swallows The Universe will showcase Nat Johnson’s inimitable songwriting talents, and glistening dream-pop quartet Chorusgirl will hopefully be showcasing new material from their upcoming second album.

Seeing The Pooches name on the list for this year’s Indietracks was thrilling, not only because they’re quite brilliant but because I know they’re the perfect fit for the festival. Everyone will love them and they deserve a hell of a lot more love than they get.

As ever there’s also plenty of smaller bands from the indie-pop and DIY-punk scenes; larger than life Anglo-American trio Charmpit will provide copious amounts of sass, Model Village will provide some much needed relaxation with their take on mellow sophisti-pop, and Peaness will set about justifying their seemingly unstoppable rise, with their perfect harmonies and tongue in cheek humour.

With a price tag creeping over £200 with fees, Latitude is a huge player on the festival scene, and as usual the line-up has the big names to match – but let’s be honest, the headliners are safe to the point of being dull. Fleet Foxes are by the far most interesting of the trio, and while there’s no denying people want to see The 1975 and Mumford & Sons, there’s also no denying that they’re both really boring. That said, step away from the headliners and there’s some excellent stuff on offer; Yorkston Thorne Khan bring their anglo-scottish-indian take on folk to Suffolk, plus there are sets from Divine Comedy and Grandaddy, and most intriguingly of all a main stage appearance from John Cale.  Latitude can also join the very long list of festivals featuring Julia Jacklin, Honeyblood and Kevin Morby. It’s not that Latitude looks bad, it is just going through an identity crisis; does it want to retain its alternative spirit, or does it want to be Glastonbury part two?

Go See Live Music

We’re stupendously delighted to welcome Little Comets back to the festival – It has been third time lucky after trying to bring them back for three years since their 2014 performance! Joining them on the mainstage will be Black Honey who blew our minds last year.  We’re also delighted to welcome back Clean Cut Kid who will be ripping up the mainstage as will be INHEAVEN, KYKO and HAUS

Blaenavon will headline our second stage on Sunday night – these guys are unmissable live! They will be joined by the likes of Will Joseph Cook so once again the Second Stage is looking strong strong strong!.
And the list goes on…. we’re also delighted to welcome Dan Caplen, Ardyn, ISLAND,CHILDCARE, Little India, EYRE LLEW and Sam Martin to our glorious little festival.

So pleased to welcome Sundara Karma as our Saturday night headliners, Benjamin Francis Leftwich as our second stage headliner, a long awaited return of Eliza and the Bear and the return of a few massive faves including High Tyde and Marsicans!

Other artists include the incredible Seafret,
