FLEET FOXES – ” Can I Believe You “

Posted: October 8, 2020 in MUSIC

Fleet Foxes have shared a new music video for their “Shore” song “Can I Believe You.” The visual was directed by frontman Robin Pecknold’s brother Sean Pecknold, with art direction and production design by Adi Goodrich. Watch the visual, starring Jade-Lorna Sullivan and Jean Charles. The “Shore” song arrives with a video created by Sean Pecknold and Adi Goodrich.

Jade-Lorna Sullivan previously starred in Fleet Foxes’ “Fool’s Errand” video, also directed by Sean Pecknold. Jean Charles was also in the Pecknold-directed “I Am All That I Need / Arroyo Seco / Thumbprint Scar.” In a press release, Sean Pecknold said of the new “Can I Believe You” video:

With this film, I created an interpretation of what trust (or the uncertainty of it) feels like as two characters journey towards one another through a pulsating world. This film also reflects the frustration and lack of human connection brought to all of us during the pandemic of 2020. Our dedicated film crew worked hard to bring this to life and we hope you find metaphors in it you can relate to as you listen to the music and watch the film. As always, Adi Goodrich and I loved bringing Robin’s songs to life with mesmerising visuals. This is the third part of a three-video FF trilogy starring Jade-Lorna Sullivan and Jean Charles.

Shore is Fleet Foxes’ fourth studio album, following 2017’s Crack-Up. The album was released along with a companion film directed by Kersti Jan Werdal, which will be shown during a series of outdoor screenings presented in part by YETI.
