Third Man Records is thrilled to welcome psychedelic rock mainstays The Flaming Lips to the label, and to announce their new album, “The Teardrop Throbs”. Out January 22nd, it is available to pre-order now on black vinyl, limited edition blue vinyl and CD. The first single “God Will Control The Werewolves” is available to stream everywhere.
Six years after their last studio album, “Teardrop” finds the group issuing a stark reminder to the public of what made them mandatory listening for the better part of the last half century: lush arrangements coupled with exquisite production and songwriting that’s been distilled over time and has achieved fully optimized power.
The Flaming Lips will introduce fans to the world of “The Teardrop Throbs” with a series of intimate performances across the United States and in the United Kingdom.
