Ahead of their UK tour next week, Wolf Alice have unveiled a new track – ‘Baby Ain’t Made Of China’ – which is the B-side to current single ‘You’re A Germ’ which is out on October 30th via Dirty Hit Records, but also offered as a free download via Soundcloud.

The track was recorded in Santa Monica, California and co-produced by Charles Scott (who releases music under the name of Scott Sinjin) during the band’s recent U.S tour. n what has been a busy week, Wolf Alice covered One Direction’s ‘Steal My Girl ‘recently for Radio One’s Live Lounge on Monday, before going on to collect the award for Breakthrough Of The Year at AIM (The Association of Independent Music Awards) award ceremony the following night.

It’s been an exciting 12 months for Wolf Alice since they messed with many a young mind from the John Peel stage at last year’s Glastonbury, with an assault on the senses that was bookended by a blazing cover of Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game, and singer Ellie’s psychedelic pink dress. Having built up a formidable fanbase based on a pair of fine EPs and a lot of hard gigging, they proved to be a worthy addition to the BBC’s Sound of 2015 longlist.

Then there was the piledriving single Giant Peach – a former Zane Lowe Hottest Record in the World – which boasted the kind of riff that could level Stonehenge. And of course they finished and released their debut album My Love Is Cool, giving fans at this year’s festival roughly three days to learn the proper versions of all the songs they’ll have been howling along to at gigs. WOLF ALICE – ” Fluffy “

It’s a rare band that manages to condense so much ground into one rock song. “Fluffy”, from London’s Wolf Alice, is an entire episode of 120 Minutes in 2:42 minutes, jumping from the turmoil of riot grrl, to the soothing co-ed harmonies of shoegaze, to the volume-spiking dynamics of grunge.

The video for the song, from their debut “My Love Is Cool”, out June 23 via DirtyHit/RCA is a rush of live footage from the band’s recent US tour.

“Whilst we were in America, our friend Stroma Cairns filmed us on tour,” the band’s Ellie Rowsell wrote in an email. It’s a crazy dream for us to even step foot over here so this footage makes us cry/laugh.”

Bros’ from Wolf Alice’s forthcoming debut album, ‘My Love Is Cool’. 

Wolf Alice have shared the video for Bros 2.0, the re-worked version of their popular early single. The single is one of the band’s earliest rabble-rousers, and will feature on their hugely-anticipated debut record My Love Is Cool next month.

Filmed by ‘Sblood in the area where lead singer Ellie Rowsell grew up, it shows the tale of two friends creating life-long memories, something that Wolf Alice tried to create in the song. Rowsell said that it’s an “ode to childhood imagination and friendship and all the charm that comes with that.”

“My Love Is Cool” is released on Dirty Hit Records on 22nd June.

Swapping out the DIY aesthetics of the original ‘Bros’ video, the new clip sees two kids hanging out in the same North London borough as Ellie and her friend Sadie (whose friendship the tracks written about) did back in the day.

Wolf Alice have unveiled a new track. Titled ‘I Saw You (In A Corridor)’, the song is the B-side to the London group’s latest single ‘Giant Peach’.

Wolf Alice will release their upcoming debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’ on June 22nd. The band recently spoke to about the mix of genres on their debut album, saying “it’s 100 per cent not a grunge record”

Wolf Alice were a clear choice for our Top Tips For 2014 list way back in 2013. Ever since their debut release they’ve been a regular part of the playlists everywhere, and a live favourite of each and every one of us.

The band took time out of their 2015 headline UK tour to pop into Amazing Radio to perform a special acoustic version of “I Saw You (In A Corridor)”.

Wolf Alice perform grunge-influenced ‘You’re A Germ’ as part of the Last.fm Lightship95 Series in London. The band’s debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’ will be released on 22nd June through Dirty Hit Recordings.

Wolf Alice will release their upcoming debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’ . The band recently spoke about the mix of genres on their debut album, saying “it’s 100 per cent not a grunge record” and that it “will surprise people”.

Singer Ellie Rowsell detailed the band’s experimentation on the record, which will be their first release since 2014’s ‘Creature Songs’ EP. “It’s 100 percent not a grunge record. It’s a much braver record than that,” Rowsell said. “There’s a mix of genres on it. We’re using our instruments in different ways, like Joff [Oddie] using his guitar as a synth.”

Wolf Alice have showcased three songs from their upcoming debut album ‘My Love is Cool’.

Wolf Alice have shared their beguiling visual accompaniment to the track “Giant Peach”, and it’s got everything: bar brawling, lute solos, and the Dad from My Parents Are Aliens. Tony Gardner takes the role of a douchebag manager, who winds up hitting the bottle pretty hard (kind of). Ewen Macintosh (Keith from The Office) also makes an appearance.

They’ve got a European tour with Wolf Alice (who played NYC on Saturday) starting this weekend, but no US shows yet. All dates are listed below the Magic Gang will be supporting the fabuolas Wolf Alice in Nottingham.
In the past year, UK rockers The Magic Gang have dropped a few tracks online like “She Won’t Ghost” and “Shallow,” and they’re now set to release a new single, “No Fun” / “Alright” on April 16 via Telharmonium Records. We’ve got the premiere of “No Fun,” and though it shares a title with a Stooges song, it sounds more like if Blue Album-era Weezer were into shoegaze instead of Kiss. Appropriately, they recorded it with Andy Savours, who also worked on 2013’s My Bloody Valentine album.

WOLF ALICE – ” Giant Peach “

“Giant Peach” the first song from North London rock band Wolf Alice‘s new album, “My Love Is Cool” is a reference to Roald Dahl’s famous kid’s book about an orphan named James. According to vocalist Ellie Rowsell, the track is about growing up in London, so the title could also maybe be an across-the-pond version of New York City’s “Big Apple” nickname. “It’s about a love affair with the city,” Ellie commented that  “It’s a song to dance to, but also a song to lose your shit to.”

Like any affair worth writing about, it’s a complicated one: I don’t know what keeps me here, it’s not the boy that gives me funny feels, Rowsell sings in the hushed build-up to the noisy climax, which is all squalor and sludge and shrieking. My Love Is Cool is released in the UK  June 23rd via Dirty Hit/ RCA; listen to “Giant Peach” here
