Tramlines is back for a seventh year, taking over 19 venues all over
Sheffield City Centre for three days of bands, DJs, parties and more.

Saturday is the biggest day at this year’s festival, with all 19 venues and stages open,100 artists across the day and tens of thousands of music-lovers descending on the city centre to create an atmosphere like no other.

There’ll be music spilling out onto the streets everywhere you turn, with highlights from the day includinh Basement Jaxx, Martha Reeves, Sugarhill Gang, Mike Skinner(DJ), Lonelady, Fat White Family, Slow Club, Polar Bear, Marika Hackman, DJ Q,Gilles Peterson, A Guy Called Gerald, Alexander Nut, Nao, Bodyjack, Hooton Tennis Club, Portico, Errors, Jus Now, Martelo, James Holden, Lapalux,Submotion Orchestra, Evian Christ, Nozinja, Fokn Bois, Tom Demac, Smutlee,Sticky, Sunship, Daddy Freddy and Braiden.
As ever, there’ll also be a ton of our favourite local and breaking artists throughout the day, making Tramlines Saturday the perfect time to get out, go exploring and discover your new favourite band.
The only way that you’ll be able to access this wealth of talent, though, is with an official Tramlines wristband.
Saturday day tickets are selling fast, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
With the response to this year’s lineup having been so great, there’s no guarantee that there’ll be any tickets available on the door this time around, so get paid up to make sure that you don’t miss out.

I watched a superb duo called the LAKE POETS last night at the Tramlines Festival in Sheffield Martin Longstaff a multi instrumentalist takes the vocals while his partner in the band plays some wonderful pedal steel giving a haunting backdrop to their songs please check out more from this band http://www.thelakepoets.com the new ep is out now
BLESSA – ” Unfurl “

Sheffield band Blessa have so far issued some superb stuff on Soundcloud, the band have been making waves and creating a stir with their songs and the brilliantly titled “Love Is An Evol Word” Ep, shimmering guitar and superb vocals from Olivia Neller. The band will be at the Tramlines Festival this weekend in Sheffield.
SLOW CLUB – ” Complete Surrender “

Slow Club were always going to produce a classic album with superb musicianship and such songwriting talents of Rebecca Taylor and Charles Watson they are a powerful partnership, the Sheffield based Boy/Girl duo have played some wonderful energetic live sets but now with the added band members including the wonderful Sweet Baboo the band have just got better and are now headlining festivals. Formed in 2005 when teenage friends they have powerful pop songs and charismatic vocals with influences of all genres, the new album “Complete Surrender” is more immaculate produced pop and at last I hope everyone appreciates this wonderful quality band catch them at Tramlines or Deershed festival,
The BLACK TAMBOURINES – ” I Wanna Stay Away “

so far the Black Tambourines have released a few EP’s and a couple of singles and they just keep getting better superb garage rock, they describe themselves as a band that rocks and blows minds and they certainly do I only expect better things for this band,
