the final part of the groups video series from their American tour and the choice is Paul Simon’s “America”
In the next installment the 7th and penultimate video, and the next city of the North American Tour the guys and gals have another song for us, this time its not a cover song but a song from fellow tour member and good friend Stu Larsen taken from his album ” Vagabond” as its his song Stu take the lead vocal
the sixth video in this collection of songs from various cities as we make our way across America on tour, today this video comes from Vancouver Canada. Some of our favourite artists and musicians are from Canada from Leonard Cohen and Neil Young to more recent artists like Dan Mangan , Arcade Fire and Feist and our touring partners The Once. In the end it was decided that the song written and performed by Jon Mitchell “A Case Of You” would be our choice a breathtaking song with honest and painful lyrics
Passenger, Stu Larsen and the Once are touring America and just hit Minneapolis, each town they have designated a cover song that represents the city and its major artist PRINCE who wrote and performed this song in this city many times, even though the song was made famous by Sinead O’Connor, Here the band Once perform the song with Jen taking the lead. check out the other songs in this series from Mike and the Others.
The guys hit the City Of Chicago, the fourth in this series of songs inspired by their American Tour together. Its a cover of the one of the master power ballads by one of the genres specialists in this area with a steady stream of hits in the 1970’s and 80’s CHICAGO the band with the choice of song “Hard To Say I’m Sorry” which was a huge hit in the eighties originally sung by Pete Cetera,
the latest installemnt of life on the road with Passenger and Stu Larsen filmed in Central Park in New York City, and a cover of the song from Simon and Garfunkel.
Currenly on a road trip across the States Passenger and Stu Larsen his longtime friend and Tour Buddy with the band The Once peform the song “Angel From Montgomery ” After flying to Atlanta the guys are working their way up the East Coast, each week they are performing a song to do with their journeys, linked into either the town or a songwriter from that town they have visited ,so this is a John Prine song from Nashville
the guys are on tour in the USA at the moment and stopped off to perform this gorgeous song. this is a beautiful song sung originally by Mark Knopfler and James Taylor this is the story of two English surveyors who travelled from England to America in the 1700’s where they established the border between Pennsylvania and Maryland now commonly know as the Mason Dixon Line, filmed at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia.
