Storms – the new single from London band Storms is the perfect antidote for all those craving something a little grittier this fine Friday evening. A real head turner, like the first single “Girl” , Shame is a grungy, guitar heavy piece of rock and roll that echoes the sound much revered back in the early noughties and nineties. Produced by Steve Osborne (Pacebo, U2, Suede), Girl is an angst-filled, no-nonsense guitar track that makes for an impressive debut from this London four-piece. Available on MUK Records 2015

London post-grunge band Storms are signed to Manchester’s MUK Records. Storms have been building a live reputation touring solidly in 2014, and ending 2014 with rip roaring performances headlining a UK tour with LIFE, whilst being tipped for 2015 by the likes of XFM (several plays at the station including from Dave Roundtree) and recently headlined live agency, and as a band to watch for 2015 .

Storms are signed to Manchester’s MUK Records and completed by George Runciman (lead singer/guitarist), Felix Howes (guitarist), Yacob Andersen (bass) and Gary Lee (drums).

Video directed, produced, and edited by Storms. Storms are a London post grunge band consisting of Felix Howes (guitar), George Runciman (vocals/guitar), Yacob Andersen (bass/ vocals) and Gary Lee (drums). The band are currently in the studio with legendary producer Steve Osborne (Placebo, Young Guns, New Order, U2) where they are putting the final touches to their debut album.

Storms have been building a stunning live reputation touring the UK solidly in 2014. The band ended the year with rip-roaring performances headlining a nationwide tour with LIFE and playing This Feeling as a tip for 2015.

Recent coverage includes NME radar, Loaded Magazine and a feature in national daily newspaper. Storms have also been tipped for 2015 by XFM and have had several plays including Dave Rowntree and Propaganda.

The band has just headlined The X-Ray Artist Showcase Top Tips for 2015 as part of the International Live Music Conference (ILMC) in London. A monthly residence has been announced at St Moritz Club in Soho over the summer, and a support slot with The Rifles at the Electric Ballroom, London in June.

They’ve been steadily building up a name over the past months since they first started creating ripples late last year. Beginning with the enticing sounds of their first single ‘Swell’, followed by some explosive live shows, now London four-piece Storms look set to kick up the proverbial storm to end one year with, and surely go into 2015 as a cert for the ‘hotly tipped’ lists.
Setting tinges of 90s shoegaze against grunge rock, after what was the heavy slice of ‘Swell’, came the riff-rich ‘Undress’ with its compelling chorus, was enough to fire up the Storms furnace to fever pitch.
