More than six months after it was first released, San Cisco are finally hitting the road in support of their fourth studio album, “Between You and Me”.

Released on September 4th, Between You and Me arrived just six months after the group’s “Flaws” EP, which served as a taster of the record, and came just days after San Cisco were forced to cancel a run of national tour dates in its support. After a year full of uncertainty, new music, and now fresh hope, San Cisco have today revealed they will finally be taking their album on the road, with their national album tour set to kick off in Queensland late next month.

“The time has come for us to finally take our album, Between You and Me, out on the road!” the group wrote on Facebook alongside the tour announcement. “We are beyond excited to play these songs for you along with a very exciting new live show that we’ve been working on.”

While details regarding the content of their “very exciting new live show” remain unknown at the current stage, the forthcoming tour will feature support from Jaguar Jonze at all dates.

Between You and Me is out now everywhere. A collection of special songs, from us to you. We love it and we hope you love it to. Thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered a record, come to a show or supported us over the years in any way. This one’s for you x

Something about this indie pop Australian band always makes me smile, and “On the Line” is no exception: With a beachy bounce and sun-kissed warmth reminiscent of say Prefab Sprout, San Cisco’s latest single heralds the long-awaited return of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. If only we could go out and take advantage!

Yet music can, and so often is its own escape. Those glazed guitar riffs and “could you love me one more time?” chants welcome us to close our eyes and slip into a bright, buoyant new reality. A catchy indie pop “bop,” this is the song that will get us dancing all over the room, letting loose whatever stiffness has been building in our bones as we throw caution to the four winds and let it all out. I remember hopping around to songs like “Fred Astaire” eight years ago – that was always my favourite track off San Cisco’s 2012 self-titled. You never know where a band will go over time, and indeed so many of this group’s contemporaries are no longer together, or have gone on to new projects. I’m glad San Cisco are doing what they’re doing, because they do it so darn well: Every song is a delightful burst of sunlight, not to mention a sweet kiss upon the cheek. Listen to “On the Line” and indulge; a track so full of urgency and hope, San Cisco’s newest offering will fill an empty room with dazzling, gleaming light.

‘On The Line’ is the latest single from San Cisco

A great result for Fremantles favourite sons and daughter San Cisco, as they’ve been awarded this week’s feature album spot on triple j Radio in their homeland of Australia, meaning you’re about to hear a lot more of their brand new third album The Water ahead of its release this coming Friday.

The band were probably a shoo-in for the honour as soon as they were chosen to play triple j’s One Night Stand in Mt Isa a few weeks back with Tash Sultana, The Smith St Band and Thundamentals, and gorgeous numbers like ‘Hey, Did I Do You Wrong’ don’t hurt either.
