From their debut album, “Half the City,” Birmingham, Alabama’s St. Paul and the Broken Bones performs  “call Me” and  “Grass Is Greener.” on the Letterman Show last monday evening, These guys played at the End Of the Road Festival and Dot To Dot last year and were just amazing, this past year the best performance of the whole weekend… Their whole show is through the roof with electricity, I am excited to see them get the on air play they deserve and David Letterman loved them… Congrats to the whole band!

The Amazing charismatic frontman  is Paul Janeway and the band are St Paul and the Broken Bones most of the band are from Birmingham Alabama, this new session recorded Live at KEXP on the 18th February 2015, KEXP radio  presents St. Paul & the Broken Bones performing live at the Triple Door as part of KEXP’s VIP Club Concert series.

Janis Joplin American singer songwriter and lead vocalist with the then Kosmic Blues Band a more soulful Rhythm and Blues styled band, the show at the Albert Hall in 1969, Janis who had been in Big Brother and the Holding Company had been major attraction at Montery Pop Festival and Woodstock. Well know for her electric live performances and unusual style of dress with coloured hair and vintage scarves, devastatingly original voice overpowering but deeply vulnerable the Filming for the documentary “Janis” included footage covering the european tour. Janis who died from quantities of heroin and alcohol at the age of 27 only 16 days after rock guitarist Jimi Hendrix. of the same age.
