The French based Band The Liminanas Hailing from Perpignan, in the south of France The Limiñanas are a band that straddles the boundary between psychedelic, shoegaze, and yé-yé. With hazy, reverb-laden hooks, combined at times with noisy distortion, and fronted by effortlessly cool vocals, reminiscent of Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot, the band is at once timeless and quintessentially French. Getting their start in October of 2009, The Limiñanas are the brainchild of Lio and Marie Limiñana. Beginning as a home studio project the duo spent much time flipping through John Barry and Ennio Morricone LP’s and books on Victorian era architecture, watching Noir films, and basking in the sun of southern France seeking inspiration. Their first single came by way of Chicago’s venerable Hozac records, followed up by a single 7” release, “Je-ne-suis-pas-tres-drogue”, on Trouble In Mind in April 2010. It’s been noted that their are traces of Serge Gainsbourg, Beck, Stereolab, Gospel, Yeh-Yeh, guitar fuzz freakouts, and Nugget’s-era stompers in the Limiñanas music. All of which may be true, but Limiñanas’ sound is irreverent and singular.

To date, the band has released three full-length albums – the latest, titled Costa Blanca’ last September by Chicago-based label Trouble in Mind.

Pusher headed out onto the road for a relentless amount of live shows and are now looking to build on their tenacious momentum with their latest release. Hours spent holed up in their practice room, situated above a pub in their native county Yorkshire, gave birth to the new set of tracks found on 10,000 Hours. The band also had a large input in the recording process, allowing them to bottle up their anthemic, pulsating rhythms across six meandering tracks.

Thomas Hemingway (bass) and Ben Scarff (drums) complete the line-up and are a defining reason Pusher’s reputed live show is so vociferous. Utilising the advantages being a five-piece band can bring, Pusher’s huge sound has this year landed them coveted spots at both Kendal Calling and The Isle of Wight Festival, performing to busy crowds on both occasions. As the festival season has drawn to a close, Pusher are now concentrating on soon to be announced tour dates that will see their sonic brand of atmospheric music pulsating through venues around the UK. The EP’s track list as well as their currently booked dates can be found below, with more to be announced shortly (including an EP launch date).”

The Watchmakers are a 4 piece band from Manchester with a psychedelic rock and roll feel, Combining the sounds of classic 60’s psychedelia with the likes of The Verve, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Primal Scream, they have created a unique blend of psychedelic laced rock ‘n’ roll that has been shrouded in mystery over the last 18 months. Their self-produced demos “Before Questions Became” and “Waves” have earned the band much critical praise with BBC Introducing in Manchester and has led to seasoned music lovers and music industry insiders clamouring for more material.
Having sold out two self-promoted psychedelic happenings in Manchester in 2013 as well as playing with the likes of The Pretty Things, Jacco Gardner, Dark Bells and Exit Calm, the band performed at a BBC Showcase in February 2014 and were recommended as “one’s to watch” by BBC 6music.“Imagine if Noel Gallagher’s solo record had actually been willing to cut loose and explore its boundaries, and you might be arriving somewhere near to their sound” . With quotes like “One of the juiciest psych-rock delights you could pluck from the music playing fields of the UK right now” and “The visceral charge of BRMC and the psychedelic adventure of Primal Scream”
“Paint It Black/Tomorrow Never Knows meets Kasabian, with an added swagger and an energy all of its own. It’s a real dark, twisted, psychedelic rocker with a groove to move the listener”
