Sea Change is Ellen A. W. Sunde’s alter ego, named after the Beck album.
Her live performance includes Hilmar B. Larsen known from Det är jäg som er Döden and Jakob Jones from While You Slept.
Born in the south of Norway in the late 80s with a natural fascination for noise, improvisation music, tiny acoustic instruments and synth pop.

She creates a beautiful loop-based sound that contains beats, vocal harmonies and 80s choruses with an own ability of making it magic and mysterious ambience. Still there is a wide range within her music. It can be massive, putting the lower frequencies of the sound system to the test or gentle, almost like the wonderful nature of silence but always immersive.

Showing incredible patience, each step taken from Vaults feels impeccably thought through. The group’s take on electronic pop – languid, emotive, future-minded – has already brought them acclaim, with fans thronging to support a group able to sell out London’s ICA while still almost unknown elsewhere.

New EP ‘Vultures’ could well be a breakthrough moment. Due for release on December 1st, the four track EP features new material and a specially commissioned remix from Maya Jane Coles.

Ahead of this, Vaults have placed the title cut online. Opening with tinkling notes of piano, there’s a grandness, an ambition to everything Vaults place their name against. a band set to be a huge favourite for the forthcoming new year and maybe a few festival slots.

Growing up in a small Ukrainian town outside Kiev, this remarkably gifted pair were immersed in music before escaping its confines, fiercely determined to head into the outside world and make an impression. They moved to London to improve their art and the culture they found shocked them.
Coming from such a different background, one would fear that they might become enchanted by the big city life, but instead they felt disconnected to the materialistic, narcissistic lifestyles of most people their age, and grew more and more committed to each other and their music.
This 18 year olds have got a Steely drive behind the gossamer intimacy of the music. Having already mastered keyboards, flute and harmonica, they are trying to master as many other instruments as they can, including guitar and drums to go with the electronic beats.

A band most likely too is this years ones to watch at the SXSW festival in Austin Texas are this English Indie Rock band from Oxford, In the mould of Alt-J and Wild Beasts,. The bands debut album “ZABA”  is due to be released in June . Intelligent and inventive have already released two singles the superb “Black Mambo/Exxus” and the “Leafflings” EP.
