The duo shared a hazy video for their version of Sort Sol and Lydia Lunch’s track ‘Boy/Girl’.
An absurdist video for their cover of Sort Sol and Lydia Lunch’s 1984 single “Boy/Girl,” which sublimates the dizziness of the original into a blitzing buzz that’s uniquely theirs. the duet between Julian Casablancas and Savages singer Jehnny Beth has seemed since its announcement to be a match in leather-clad heaven, and the resulting cover of a haywire Danish punk classic fulfills on the collaboration’s promise.
Watch the video here in advance of the single’s December 18th release on Casablancas’ Cult Records.

Wolf Alice covering “Matilda” by Alt-J in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge November 2015,
Wolf Alice stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge this morning, and they only brought a bloody entourage of string-instrument wielding sidekicks with ‘em! As well as a cello-ified version of their track ‘Freazy,’ they also covered Alt-J’s ode to Luc Besson’s film Léon.
They chose ‘Matilda’ for its ‘Mercury vibes’ apparently – a nod to the fact that Alt-J won the prize with their debut ‘An Awesome Wave’ in 2012. Wolf Alice’s own debut, ‘My Love is Cool’ is up for the prize this year,
Elsewhere on the show, the band’s drummer – and the fine mind behind ‘Swallowtail’ – Joel Amey, revealed he’ll be playing live twice at the ceremony tonight. He’s set to step in for Slaves on drums, as frontman Isaac Holman has dislocated his shoulder

On Monday, Ryan Adams released a track-by-track cover of Taylor Swift’s smash hit album “1989” to mostly rave reviews Ryan has a huge catalog of songs with a wide music tatse here an electric cover of Gillian Welch’s classic. Sounds a bit like Neil Young/Crazy Horse. Ethan Johns wanted this on Heartbreaker. He thought Ryan had written it. He later found out it was a Gillian Welch/Dave Rawlings song and that they were using it on Time (The Revelator).
