Los Angeles psych band Allah Las,  with a version of the Rolling Stones cover “STONED” on this psych based tribute and among these 14 mind blowing psych rock versions of classic Rolling Stones songs performed by the newest leaders of experimental space rock! . Includes Clinic’s hallucinogenic take on “I Know It’s Only Rock & Roll (But I Like It),” The Vacant Lots’ stimulating version of “She Smiled Sweetly,”and the Allah-Las’ gorgeous “Stoned,” Pure X’s haunting “Beast Of Burden” and many more!

You can’t accuse Los Angeles quartet Allah-Las of not doing its homework. Three of the four members met while working at one of the country’s great record stores, Amoeba on Sunset Boulevard, where they spent countless hours studying up on the vintage sounds that compose their affectingly melancholy self-titled debut. The band formed in 2008, and worked for several years painstakingly assembling the songs on Allah-Las, first releasing the vinyl single, “Catamaran”/”Long Journey”, in 2011 and following up with two singles in 2012. All of these songs, plus the eight other tracks that make up Allah-Las, were produced by Nick Waterhouse, a fine L.A. singer-songwriter whose 2012 LP Time’s All Gone is a spirited and record-geek friendly collection of raucous 50s-style R&B thrashers.Innovative Leisure, PRES RECORD Co.

Bike rides through the city, afternoons at the beach, and going to outdoor concerts and Festivals with best friends are just a few of things we miss about summer. dark nights and cold evenings mean that we’ve unwillingly accept that winter is almost here againt doesn’t mean we’ve stopped daydreaming about sunnier times.

L.A. band psych rock band Allah-Las has the sound but tracked those daydreams. And we’re convinced that their laidback garage rock fusion jams have the power to channel California’s history of beatniks, surfers, artists, and nomads and capture that fuzzy long summer daze feeling. In their latest video for “Worship The Sun,” the band takes their sunny disposition a bit further south to Mexico for a hazy, psychedelic romp on a catamaran. Watch the exclusive premiere below and say one final goodbye to summer.
