The L.A.-via-Texas garage-pop duo Gal Pals have an album called “Velvet Rut” coming out in a couple of weeks, and here is the catchy-as-hell “Here’s To The Gals.” They look like they’re having fun, and more importantly, they look like they really like each other, which I guess is the whole point of the band name.

Bluffing’s debut album, Sugar Coated Pills of Wisdom, is an 18-minute audio sugar rush. Bluffing don’t waste any time in not wasting any of your time and pummel you continuously with their super-charged bursts of sweet, sour, silly, and slinky fuzz-pop with a punk slant. Drummer/vocalist JBoxer brings in familiar sounds from past bands Le Rug and Butter the Children but– with the help of Olivia Drusin on guitar and vocals– cuts, edits, and mangles them into a collage of new noise that ear worms its way to your sweet spot every single time.
