New line-up additions A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS are joined on Saturday by Zamrock pioneers W.I.T.C.H., JANE WEAVER, ADRIAN SHERWOOD, WOLF PEOPLE, WHITE MANNA and SEX SWING.
Tickets for Friday (£40) and Saturday (£50) day go on sale at 9am on Friday 28 July from liverpoolpsychfest.com. Weekend tickets can still be purchased now.
Our annual Musings In Drone conversations programme, cinema curations, virtual reality and installations programmes will be announced in the coming weeks.
We’re overjoyed to be welcoming some additional guests to our PZYK 2017 Congregation, all of whom contribute to making this year’s festival a pan-continental voyage of discovery. New York Scree architects A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS (Saturday) bring their wall of noise assault to the PZYK tumult. The Brooklyn trio are currently on tour with The Black Angels, the tension of their noise and chaos a perfect counterbalance to the Texans’ reverb-soaked hooks.
Californian trio L.A. WITCH bring their neon-lit fusion of garage rock and dream pop to Friday’s line-up, while Swedes DEAD VIBRATIONS unleash their storm of angst-ridden guitar work on Saturday.

“Interlopers” is the new single from The Megaphonic Thrift’s new album “Sun Stare Sound”. Proving that the festival’s international sobriquet is no idle boast, The Megaphonic Thrift continue the rich tradition of Scandinavian psychedelia that has been a feature of previous PZYK incarnations. Hailing from Bergen, Norway, the quartet specialize in a driving sonic assault that tests the outer limits of psych pop. At one recent gig, the NME described The Megaphonic Thrift’s output as “face-meltingly intense”.
