Inhaler’s debut album ‘It Won’t Always Be Like This’ a record that sees Elijah Hewson, Josh Jenkinson, Robert Keating and Ryan McMahon turn their early promise into something special, an album teeming with expansive indie-rock grooves and soaring anthems.

The announcement comes after the band previously shared the video for new single “Cheer Up Baby” the lead track captures the essence of their sound.

“It’s always been a cornerstone song for us and our fans are always talking about it. It’s a love letter to our fans and that’s why we wanted to choose it to open up the album,” frontman Eli Hewson explained. “Lyrically, a lot of young people in these times are dealing with mental health issues and they can get stuck in their own heads. I think that’s what this song is, it’s loosely based on a conversation between two people and a lyric that goes ‘when I think of all the things I didn’t do, I can’t help but blame it on you””

The album includes the single Cheer Up Baby, a swooping, epic singalong alongside newly recorded versions of early fan favourites “My Honest Face” and title track “It Won’t Always Be Like This”, the album is released July 16th 2021.

Cheer Up Baby is out now, and we’re also pleased to announce our debut album, It Won’t Always Be Like This, will be out on 16th July. We’ve poured our heart and soul into this record, pulled songs apart and put them back together again but we couldn’t be prouder with the result and we can’t wait for you to hear it.

Dublin 4-piece Inhaler their second single of 2020 ‘Falling In’.  The track was released at the beginning of the year following ‘We Have To Move On’ but unfortunately it got pushed back due to lockdown and the ongoing pandemic, as did their Irish tour and plans to play some of this summer’s festivals like This Is Tomorrow and Neighbourhood Weekender.

Fortunately, they dropped noisy new track ‘Falling In’, which is taken from their upcoming debut LP and provides some insight into the bands approach to keeping their egos in check with all of their new found glory and success. This theme is showcased in the tracks honest and straightforward lyrics, as well as frontman Elijah’s distinct and familiar voice which shows off his range nicely.

“A shot in the chest / Couldn’t wake you up / You need a human touch / It’s never enough” The track’s sound is more mature, intricate and elaborate than some of their previous releases. ‘Falling In’ starts off simply with Elijah’s powerful voice over a lively drum beat, then jumps into life with electrifying guitar synths and a muffled chorus. ‘Falling In’ sounds pretty influenced by U2 with its 80’s grooves and euphoric vocals, which is definitely a good thing. The track shows Inhaler’s maturity as they grow together as a band and push the boundaries of guitar lead indie rock.

The soaring single marks another step in the right direction for Irish breakthrough act Inhaler, who have proved their talent and success as a young band without yet releasing a debut album. ‘Falling In’ is infectious and catchy but also proves that Inhaler are evolving with every release, personally I can’t wait to hear what they do next!

INHALER – ” My Honest Face / There’s No Other Place “

The Dublin band Inhaler has been getting a lot of buzz lately. Fronted by Bono’s son Eli Hewson, the band has just released a slobberknocker of a new single called “My Honest Face”. Noel Gallagher has described the band as a mix between Echo And The Bunnymen with old U2, which seems appropriate given their lineage.

Formed in 2016, Inhaler is a four piece Rock and Roll Band from Dublin, Ryan McMahon, Robert Keating, Josh Jenkinson and Elijah Hewson.

Currently touring through the United Kingdom with Fuzzy Sun and will join ranks with Blossoms and Courteeners for their festival warm-up dates.
