Big Ups just landed the weekend square between your eyes. ‘Capitalized’ is a steel fist of fury slamming in to the brain of everyone brave enough to listen. Grounded with a heavy, fuzzy bass line only tilted by the throat stretching vocal.  After letting rip early last year with ‘Eighteen Hours Of Static‘, their rough-hewn debut full-length, ‘Capitalized’ seems like an indication that a follow-up is on the cards for next year; at least judging by an accompanying video teaser they have posted which would seem to indicate it is to be called ‘Before A Million Universes’ and is set for release on Brace Yourself Records, Tough Love Records and Exploding In Sound Records next spring

Unassumingly announced the band have unleashed a hellish ball of frenetic energy culminating in the punk that spews from your speakers. I could go on saying words like eruption, explosion and other natural disaster related terms but that’s boring and Big Ups aren’t.

Released on limited 7″ transparent/black marble vinyl, March 30th on Brace Yourself Records.

Whilst Crows have already left their lasting mark on anyone who’s come into contact with their white-hot live show, for those still uninitiated ‘Pray’ is a fitting introduction. Bloodthirsty and blunt like a fist wrapped in barbed wire, it’s a galloping bar-brawl of a track that sits heavy on the soul. With a high-gain, gripping assault on the senses, ‘Pray’’s thunderous statement is unrelenting in its pace. Cries of “bloodshot eyes” and “crooked teeth” up the horror factor, and as Crows begin to lift their shroud they’re revealing their gruesome true façade. That infamous live show seems fit the break through at any point – foreboding and razor-sharp, this is music on a knife-edge. Emerging from the depths of the London scene, Crows have already begun leaving their mark on anyone who’s come into contact with their strain of dark psychedelic garage rock and ferocious live shows supporting the likes of Bo Ningen, Iceage and The Fat White Family.

After a series of European dates including Le Guess Who Festival ? , The Eindhoven Psych Lab and most recently supporting Viet Cong back in their hometown, Crows have announced ‘Pray’, their debut 7” due for release on 30th March through Brace Yourself Records. ‘Pray’ the band are currently on tour with Wolf Alice and later in April as support to the band Slaves.
