Cabbage and the video for their current single ‘Gibraltar Ape’, which has been play-listed at BBC 6Music, Radio X and Virgin. Speaking about the video, Cabbage say; “No interminable, egocentric and grandeur oration can define truly of how proud we are of the Gibraltar Ape music video. Filmed and edited by Dominic Foster, starring the keen good folk of Mossley”.

Recorded at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool and produced by James Skelly (of The Coral) and Richard Turvey, ‘Gibraltar Ape’ follows the Manchester band’s three four-track EP’s released in late 2016: ‘Uber Capitalist Death Trade’ (whose title track was playlisted by BBC 6Music), ‘Necroflat In The Palace’ and ‘Terrorist Synthesizer’. A compilation of the three EPs – ‘Young, Dumb and Full of…” is available to stream now on Spotify

With their V05 NME Awards tour supporting Blossom’s sold-out, and their April headline dates also sold-out, Cabbage seem to be heading for the bigger stages very soon.

The single, Gibraltar Ape, released February 10th 2017 on Skeleton Key Records

Cabbage have announced new EP ‘Uber Capitalist Death Trade’.

Out today (September 30th), the four-song EP features ‘Free Steven Avery’, their song about the prisoner from Making A Murderer, which also has the chorus “Death to Donald Trump”.

‘Uber Capitalist Death Trade’ follows the band’s support slot on Blossoms’ tour, which saw them play London Forum last night. Their set ended with ‘Free Steven Avery’ as shirtless singers Lee Broadbent and Joe Martin gave each other piggybacks across the stage.

In a statement, Cabbage said of the EP: “Exhibit A. ‘Uber Capitalist Death Trade’ is the first of its set. It pays homage to the tragedy of British soldiers being brainwashed and utilised, then either killed or spat out by the same vicious machine it salutes. It pays tribute to human nature being unforgiving and the pain of the vacuous socially cleansed cities versus the ghostly fallen towns of Britain. It prays to the gargantuan presence that is the United States Of Freedom and it begs to be punished by the sweet sweet pseudo tales of Manchester. Read a book, steal from a billionaire, listen to Cabbage. Exhibit A.”

‘Uber Capitalist Death Trade’ is released on The Coral singer James Skelly’s record label Skeleton Key, the label Blossoms released their early singles on. The full tracklisting is: ‘Uber Capitalist Death Trade’; ‘Fickle’; ‘Tell Me Lies About Manchester’; ‘Free Steven Avery’.

It’s the five-piece’s second EP, following ‘Le Choux’, which spawned the single ‘Dinner Lady’ released on The Charlatans singer Tim Burgess’ record label O Genesis.
Cabbage will play:
Leicester Cookie (October 14)
Coventry Kasbah (29)
Derby Venue (November 3)
