They might have left us waiting for longer than we would have liked, but Latitude Festival have just announced one of the best line-ups of the summer.

The festival, which takes place at Suffolk’s Henham Park in July, will be headlined by The Maccabees, The National and New Order – but that’s truly just the tip of the iceberg. Grimes, Chvrches, Christine & The Queens and Father John Misty are also on the bill.

Joining Grimes in headlining the BBC Radio 6 Music Stage are Kurt Vile and Of Monsters And Men, while Frightened Rabbit, MO, Polica, Perfume Genius and Aurora will play the same stage throughout the weekend.

Lower down on the main stage bill, meanwhile, are the likes of Beirut, John Grant, Courtney Barnett, Chet Faker, Daughter and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.

There’s also a pretty impressive theatre, poetry and comedy line-up this year, if you can tear yourself away from the musical guests for a moment. The Great British Bake Off presenter and comedian Mel Giedroyc will be starring in a performance of The Importance Of Being Earnest, while spoken word poet Hollie McNish will also perform.

Latitude Festival takes place from 14 to 17 July at Henham Park, Suffolk. See the full musical line-up so far below, and get tickets and more information here.

Latitude Festival 2016 lineup announcement, New Order, National Grimes

Alt-J, Noel Gallagher‘s High Flying Birds, Portishead, Caribou, James Blake, Laura Marling, Manic Street Preachers, Jon Hopkins, Seasick Steve, Jason Manford, Alan Davies and many more announced for Latitude this summer. Book now!

The Lake Stage has always been the place to be to catch the most hotly-anticipated acts. Over the years, The XX, Metronomy, Everything Everything and 2015 headliners alt-J have all graced the stage early on in their careers. Handpicked by DJ and broadcaster Huw Stephens, expect just as big things from this year’s line-up in the years to come.

Headlining the stage will be the phenomenal To Kill A King, alongside synthpop maestros Prides. Others acts joining them are Formation, Sundara Karma, Aquilo, and Liverpudlian bands Outfit and Gulf.

Welsh rock group Pretty Vicious have seen huge acclaim since releasing their debut track ‘Cave Song’ online. Despite only having begun playing live in late 2014, their shows are already full of a raucous energy that will suck you in. We cannot wait for them to make their Latitude debut.

On the more relaxed side, Charlie Cunningham will be bringing his percussive guitar sound to Henham Park, while HONNE will exhibit their neo-soul stylings. Tipped by NME as an artist to watch in 2015, Neon Waltz’s sublime indie sounds will surely delight a whole new legion of fans.

Completing today’s announcement are Petite Meller, Eaves, Boxed In, Man Made, Clarence Clarity, and Clare Maguire. Between them we have every taste covered, whether you’re in the mood for heartfelt soul from singer-songwriters, or electronic beats that will have you dancing for hours.
