Radical Face is the long-running indie pop project of Ben Cooper (who’s also one half of Electric President). He’s got albums dating back to 2003 (including 2007’s Ghost, which spawned the great single “Welcome Home,” possibly his most memorable moment to date), and he’s been in the midst of an album trilogy called The Family Tree since 2011. He released part one, The Roots, that year, followed by The Branches in 2013, and he’ll complete the trilogy with The Leaves on March 25th via Nettwerk.
Ben’s released three singles from the album so far, and we’ve got the premiere of a fourth, “The Ship In Port.” If you liked “Welcome Home” and the other folky, heavily arranged indie pop songs of that era (think Sufjan, Garden State soundtrack, etc), you’re gonna be happy to know that Ben is still sticking to that style and sounding great doing so. Check out the new song,
Radical Face is also supporting the new album on a European tour in April, followed by a US tour in May.
