Pretty Vicious are a Welsh Rock band formed 2014 in Merthyr Tydfil South WalesPretty Vicious are among the hottest property in music right now with high-profile gigs supporting the Manic Street Preachers and high ranking slot at this year Glastonbury. The band who look set to follow in the footsteps of the heroes they’re supporting and hit the big time.

They have also drawn parallels with Super Furry Animals and have worked with a producer with a very good track record. The band’s first demo was recorded at the EVI Recording Studio at the Ebbw Vale Institute with acclaimed producer Richard Jackson, a man who has previously helmed sessions with Super Furry Animals, 60ft Dolls, The Automatic and Duffy.

That adrenaline-shot sound has brought comparisons to The Arctic Monkeys, The Libertines and the fire and brimstone of early Manic Street Preachers.

But while you’ve probably heard all of the buzz surrounding the Merthyr band you may not know much about them quite yet as the teenagers are still very much the new kids on the block – with one of the members still at school. The band consists of:-
Brad (Lead vocals + Guitar)
Tom (Guitar)
Jarvis (Bass)
Elliot (Drums)

These Welsh Indie Rockers were intoduced to us by fan and fellow Welshman Jonny Owen. They’re brand new for 2014, and their raw, blues-rock ‘n roll sound will appeal to fans of Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys, and White Stripes.

Merthyr teens Pretty Vicious channel ’94-era Oasis attitude, but twin it with a mainstream production sound that’s getting a lot of major labels very excited indeed. They’ve only got one track online, ‘Cave Song’, which sounds a little like Jake Bugg fronting Arctic Monkeys.
