Following the release of their newest album “O Shudder, released by Memphis Industries earlier this week, Dutch Uncles have recently shared their quirky music video for their new single, “Decided Knowledge.”.
The video, directed by Plastic Zoo, stars a puppet version of lead singer Duncan Wallis, or more aptly dubbed, “Muncan.” “Muncan” will undoubtedly elicit a few chuckles as he mimics the real life Wallis’ dance moves, lip-syncs, and pops up all over the Welsh coastal town of Llandudno. The song itself is undeniably catchy and highly reminiscent of classic, dance-y ’80s pop.
are currently under way on their “In N Out Store Tour” with the following U.K. dates still left to play:

February 28 – Jumbo Records, Leeds outstore at A Nation of Shopkeepers
March 1 – Pop Recs Ltd, Sunderland

Additionally, Dutch Uncles have a busy schedule of regular U.K. gigs lined up this Spring:

26 March 2015 – The Sugarmill, Stoke
27 March 2015 – The Ritz, Manchester
10 April 2015 – Koko, London
24 April 2015 – Belfast, Limelight 2

Dutch Uncles will release their fourth studio LP, “O Shudder”, at the end of the month, and we’ve already heard three of the record’s songs, “Drips,” “Decided Knowledge,” and “In N Out.” Today, the Manchester-based band dropped a fourth single, which means that we will have heard nearly half of the 11-track album prior to its release date. “Be Right Back” is both fidgety and soulful, and its crowning moment arrives about a minute in when lead vocalist Duncan Wallis yelps the word “escalator.” The way he emphasizes the first “e” is inexplicably satisfying.

Dutch Uncles have shared a new track from their forthcoming album, ‘O Shudder’. ‘Decided Knowledge’ is the second track to be revealed from the Manchester group’s fourth album, and follows on from its earlier single ‘In and Out’, which was revealed back in October. ‘O Shudder’ gets released on 22nd February via Memphis Industries.

With ‘Decided Knowledge’, the group take a left turn from the overtly funky previous track and offer a wonky, off-kilter number. Blending new wave and 80’s pop sensibilities, the track is driven by its bubbly keys and slashing guitar riffs, that place both an oblique and introspective spin on the lyrics.
