The Weather Station is  Tamara Lindeman who has a new EP out a 6 song limited edition “What Am I going To do with Everything” recorded with members of Megafaun in North Carolina, Finger picked guitars and harmonies unexpected stray snare drums and the occasional electric guitar Also a new album release with members of Feist and Bahamas titled “Loyalty” should be released later this year.

DAWES are just one of the best american bands, Taylor Goldsmith has echoes of Jackson Browne for sure in his voice, But the songs and the bands musicianship is just sublime the harmonies and structure of the songs just perfect

Wilco are an American alternative rock band, members are Jeff Tweedy, Mikael Jorgenson, Nels Cline, Patrick Sansone, John Stirratt, Glen Kotche,the band based in Chicago Illinois originally formed after the demise of Alt-country band Uncle Tupelo. the band make consistently interesting music, they also make available live recordings from past shows, The band are set to play a series of live shows in December with a six night residency at the bands home town theatre the Riveria, each performance will feature a completely different set list running through their vast array of songs. Also planned is a four cd box set an alternative history of the band titled “Alpha Mike Foxtrot” it includes 77 songs with rare and live recordings and liner notes from Jeff Tweedy. At The same time there will be a greatest hits album “Whats Your 20” with tracks culled from all eight albums. Both album will be released on Nonesuch Records ,

Nice in depth profile of Gene Clark the original Byrd and songwriter of “Feel a Whole Lot Better” and “Eight Miles High” .He was only in the Byrds for a short period between 1964-66 after a short spell in the New Christy minstrels he heard the Beatles and wanted to form a rock band heading to Los Angeles he met folk singer Jim McGuinn assembled the Byrds and became the first of the country rock bands, He was the main songwriter and vocalist but a fear of flying and touring meant he left the band in 1966.  He suffered bouts of heavy drinking and this led to stomach ulcers which after surgery they removed most of his stomach and intestines which would lead later to his death in 1991.
