Melina Duerte is one of the new favourite artists of the blogging scene. Her work as Jay Som is one of those lovely shaded areas of a venn diagram where emotion meets intelligence and her ability to display this through a selection of genteel indie pop is enticing to say the least.
We were thrilled then to hear that she had covered The Beatles hit ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’. Her bedroom-pop style works perfectly on this cover and the delicate approach she employs for all her work is even more greatly admired while covering such a well-observed track.
