As a band we’ve been going back and forth whether we wanted to stay the course or follow what we thought as right and put the song up today..givin the gravity of todays apocalyptic event here it is fer you. We hope that, hopefully, despite all the destruction in this world, people can take the time to gather friends and listen to the music- we’ll always have the songs..
The Britany’s a New York, Strokes compared garage-punks together now since 2014 when they were just a trio playing fuzz-laced rock. have also experienced eclectic change from playing primarily local gigs to a ‘dip in the pool’ US tour alongside, fellow Big Apple boys, Public Access TV. Throw in their ‘hit’ single ‘Basketholder’, an ‘Interview’ magazine feature; a SXSW slot; recording sessions with legendary producer, Gordon Raphael, the avalanche of success continues to sweep up the band.
Now expanded to a four-piece, adding a further guitarist Jake Williams to the line-up, there’s a new single released last week. Produced by Jonathan Schenke (The Drums, Parquet Courts), ‘In Yer Time’ is the first cut from their upcoming debut EP, which arrives on February 3rd. It has plenty of their trademark catchy hooks to fill out the four minutes, while Lucas Long commands the vocal side.
Currently on tour in the US, The Britanys head to the UK in February.
