RORY GALLAGHER – ” The Beat Club Sessions 1971-72 “

Posted: June 14, 2015 in MUSIC

Today we are remembering Rory Gallagher. That is the way we are told we should start a piece about him on the anniversary of his death. It was 20 years ago today that Rory passed away. But it would be incorrect for us to say ‘today’.

We remember him every day. Rory Gallagher has a huge fan base but never quite achieved the main stream fame that his contemporaries ( Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page etc) did. It sure wasn’t because of a lack of talent. He was known for his charismatic performances and dedication to his craft. Gallagher’s albums have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide.

Rory was only 47 years old when he passed.

If he could come back for just one more song, what song would you want him to play?

RIP Rory. Thanks for the music.
