During their first trip to the States in the space of a couple of months, Wolf Alice took to their first ever KCRW session, showcasing beloved cuts and new takes from a 2015 debut album. Wolf Alice has an intriguing name and a beguiling vocalist named Ellie Rowsell. The London-based band manage to merge grunge rock with pop choruses and we’ll hear it live when they make their US debut on Morning Becomes Eclectic.
Two days on from joining Alt-J at the O2 Arena, London, Ellie Rowsell and co. checked in with host Steve Inskeep for an interview and extended session.

Alongside ‘Storms’, ‘Fluffy’ and ‘Moaning Lisa Smile’, the London four-piece played further cuts from a debut LP. ‘You’re A Germ’ and ’90 Mile Beach’ gained all-thrills airings – the latter will definitely feature on a full-length, Rowsell confirmed in conversation.

Wolf Alice performed:

Moaning Lisa Smile
Your Love’s Whore
90 Mile Beach
You’re A Germ
Giant Peach
