Leeds-based fuzz-rockers Menace Beach have been floating around here and there throughout 2014, steadily building up a reputation that that has led to their debut LP “Ratworld“ – which will be released on January 15th via Memphis Industries – becoming hugely anticipated.
Until now, there hadn’t been a full-blown tour around the UK for fans to really get their teeth stuck into, but come the end of January and the unveiling of the album, all that will change.
The band will perform in-stores in Leeds and Nottingham, and an album launch special in Kingston, before hitting the road proper at The Broadcast in Glasgow on January 25th. It all culminates with what will no doubt be a sizzling homecoming finale at Brudenell Social Club on February 1st.
What’s more, there’s also a new track for us to wrap our ears around. ‘Blue Eye’ demonstrates another string to the five-piece’s bow, taking us on an ethereal meander that embraces psychedelia and distorted balladry – this could well end up being one of the record’s most poignant sonic moments.
