Sofia Bolt is the moniker of French musician Amélie Rousseaux and after relocating to Los Angeles last year, she recorded her debut album Waves, which is due out in 2019. This week, she shared the first cut from the album, “Get Out Of My Head.” “Get Out Of My Head” is a murky garage-rock jab at a former significant other, in which Rousseaux’s smooth, unruffled vocals are the perfect complement and counterweight to the grimy cloud of smoke produced by the song’s jittery, pluck-happy guitars. Fusing the moody garage-pop of La Luz with the dark, muddy alt-rock of Goat Girl, Sofia Bolt brings just the right portions of sweetness and grit, and she’s poised for a bright future.

Pale Grey - Seasons

Belgian indie group Pale Grey’s single, “Seasons” off of their new album, Waves is the perfect complement to a quiet fall afternoon. It starts off with a simple beat and some garage-like synths that quickly fill up the track with a feeling of longing. Though it sits at just over two minutes, the song packs an emotional punch with minimal production. It asks the question of whether or not you can go on when the one you love passes away, and in that contemplation is where the song shines

The new video for Seasons is taken from Pale Grey’s album Waves.

On Twitter, Williams answered a few questions about the album and his current plans for Wavves and other projects. He said a joint tour was “not likely” due to his and Baldi’s schedules, though Wavves  began a tour last September and released a new album in August. Additionally, he said that while the collaborative album won’t get a proper physical release, it’ll will be released on vinyl.
