Jamie T has released the video for his third single ‘Tescoland’, taken from his newest album, ‘Trick’.

The video, directed by Tobias-Ross Southall, is a live montage of Jamie’s UK and Irish tour.

Of the track itself, which Jamie Treays recorded in Detroit and London, he says: “Funnily, when I write abroad it has the effect of making me more Anglophile musically. When you step out of your environment you become more aware of your own identity.”

To mark the release of ‘Tescoland’, there will be a limited number of 7” vinyl with the exclusive B-side track ‘Thomas Dunn’ released on January 13th 2017

Having just finished his headline tour in Europe, Jamie goes on to play three rescheduled shows in the UK this month:

Trick was finally released last month but the consumer has plenty of Trick material to salivate over prior to the record’s release. Lead single Tinfoil Boy came out In June and marks one of the lariest tunes from Jamie T to date. Its chorus sounds like bit like Born Slippy with a fleck of South London; the lyrics find the hero being “tricked into waking up” and address issues of anxiety and depressions. If some songs on the album play too close to Arctic Monkeys (Power Over Men) and Combat Rock-era The Clash (Tescoland): this is one of the most Jamie T-esque songs; a ballistic strike and outright stunner from an artist still capable of surprising and bringing the good.
