Today I’m releasing The Ballad of Davey Graham. This is the second track off my album ‘The Other Side Of Blue’, which will be available on 17th August. At thirteen years old my father introduced me to the music of Davey Graham and told me he was the best guitarist he had ever seen. Years later I was asked to play at an event which celebrated Davey’s life and his friend ex-partner told me that it was my music that he choose to listen to on the day that he died. It was mind blowing to me, and I hope that my songs comforted him in that final hour, like his music did in the spring of my youth. What goes around comes around I guess, and I hope his spirit lives on in this song. Rest in peace Davey and thank you for all your music. Best wishes. TB.
