John Cipollina, passed away on this date 25 years ago, with a distinctive sound he also devolped his own guitar rig and set up which was donated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after his death. Cipollina known for his style and sound of playing in the band QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE they made some classic psychedelia albums “HAPPY TRAILS” considered the classic, other albums “WHAT ABOUT ME” and “SHADY GROVE” were of their time the San Francisco sound John mostly played Gibson SG guitars after the demise of Quicksilver he formed the band Copperhead an also played with Welsh psychedelic rock band MAN.
