HONNE after last week’s stunning reworking of Izzy Bizu collaboration ‘Someone That Loves You’, the Bow-based duo are two-for-two with new single ‘Good Together’. Sounding like the kind of ‘Things Can Only Get Better’-aping tune that Remain campaigners all over the UK wish they’d had a month ago, ‘Good Together’ combines smooth and silky vocals with the piano-driven electro-soul that Honne have defined in preparation for next week’s debut album, ‘Warm on a Cold Night’. Synths weave their way between the delightful melodies, guitars glissando beneath an irresistible beat, and the chorus commands attention through its insatiable desire to be sung from the rooftops; Honne have hit a home run.

As Honne release their long-awaited “Coastal Love” EP, we get to hear a fresh new slice of exquisiteness called ‘Top To Toe’.

With those ridiculously low and wholesome vocals, ‘Top To Toe’ is an instant soul mover with a chorus that is undeniably intoxicating. smooth-sounding song you want to experience in a stylish environment and, as if on cue, here’s the very appealing visual, which features some serious intrigue regarding a dress lined with money and a very weird-looking sea creature. The end of the video’s pretty weird too, which is good, because I love weird things. The song’s from the EP of the same name that’s out in May.

“Based on our own first hand experiences, ‘Coastal Love’ is the product of being in a long distance relationship,” Honne commented . “However we wanted to explore the positive aspects of this rather than focusing on the negatives. We are very excited for people to see the video. We love the fact that it takes you on an unconventional journey but still conveys the meaning of the song.”

The energy is magnetic, the beat is hypnotic and the smoothness cannot be contained.
