The other day, I dug out the review of Foo Fighters I’d written for NME in June 1995. “The underlying message is clear,” I decided. “Respect the past, but get on with the future.”
It’s an imperative that remains key to understanding the Foo Fighters in 2026, as our exclusive interview in the brand new MOJO makes clear. “Before, I was running on fumes and unleaded gas,” Grohl tells David Fricke. “Now I’m just burning diesel.”
