Los Angeles El Monte trio the Red Pears have picked up right where they left off with their 2021 album,
“You Thought We Left Because The Door Was Open But We Were Waiting Outside.”
The new single from the garage-rock trio of Henry Vargas, Jose Corona and Patrick Juarez is “The Way You Talk,” co-produced with Kelwin Hernandez, featuring their characteristically bristling guitars, staccato beats and vocals with a hint of acidic detachment in tracing the arc of a relationship circling the drain.
Three albums in, the Red Pears have gained a passionate following who don’t give a hoot about the Strokes comparisons.
